HAHAHA funny funny. I'm NOT referring to the socket size. Perhaps I need to be just a bit clearer; I'm replacing a set of chrome plated hood hinge nuts and I'm looking for an exact set of replacement nuts and I was wondering about the metric thread size and possibly a GM part number. I'm not going to find what I need at Home Depot. Thanks for your much needed input. I'll go today to purchase a set of metric sockets as per your recommendation today.

Thanks Mike, but I need the exact GM replacement, not a 'generic'. It's for a 100% unmolested car that will be eventually judged for NCRS certification, so the correct GM nuts are what's needed. I know that these are common and definitely not Corvette specific, but I just want the GM parts.
