suspension klunk
when backing or turning very slowly I get a "klunk" sound in the front end...had steering checked seems ok and they replaced the rack and pinion, but the klunk came back....any schematics on how the steering and power steering set ups go together....C5 2000 coupe....tie rods were replaced as well....thanks.

Is it a single clunk? Or repetitive noise?
I had a clunk that I couldn't figure out. Typically back out of my driveway and turning the wheel. I eventually went through all of my suspension mount mounts with a torque wrench. Nothing was "loose" but the noise went away. You might start with the sway bar end links.

2000 would be the early end links if they were never replaced.
I would re torque all of the suspension points (upper and lower A-arms) and cradle bolts.
