:seeya: Like the commercials say's" Just Do It!" So that was my plan. The South Florida weather was like a steam room..82 degrees and 80% humidity but the skies were clear and I was on a mission to crack the 11's.:yesnod: Fortunately the track was not crowded so I figured I could get at least 4-5 runs in and achieve my goal. The first run was very close,...12.002 @112.45 with a 1.69 60' but not good enough. The second pass was also not a bad run at 12.01 @114.05 again with a 1.69 short time. My third and forth run also 12.13 and a 12.08 and now I'm getting a little frustrated!!:mad: It's getting late and the car is hot . I figure I may only have one chance left.
Wouldn't you know it some ricer blows a transmission and the cleanup takes about an hour..Jeeeesus! WTF!:mad: This is BS!..The track finally clears and they call the Sportsman to load up..I'm 4th in a line of 60 or more cars so I focus and start to stage..the line loc is set and I do the burnout and and get to the tree..I'm thinkin.OK now..pay attention man ..don't blow it..yellow..yellow..hold it at 2000..yellow and I'm gone...so far good run a little slip but a good launch..the 1-2 hits like thunder( I love that Transgo)..2-3..now were cookin..she screamin' at 6200rpms and I'm movin..I'm pullin..I'm SLAPPING the F**'in dashboard..I see the 1000' ft time..10.005 ..This is IT!...Through the traps and now it's done..I'm thinking ..That was a good run but it didn't feel like an 11 second run. So I take off my helmet and pull up to the ticket booth expecting another low 12 and the guy smiles and say's .."Hey man..you need a cage in that thing if your gonna run 11's.. I' say "Oh yeah.." He say's "Congratulations, I know you've been tryin all night but we have your #'s now so next time get a cage.."..I say.. "Sure ..No problem!!" :smash: :smash:...No problem at all..:smash:

If I don't sell my car in the next month or so (market sucks right now) I am just gonna her and get my SY,Gears, and other goodies installed and be done with it. Then I will wait till the 2nd year of the C6 comes out.

I am planning on getting a Transgo like you, BuckMaster, and Untouchable, IF I can find someone who knows what the hell they are doing when they install it. No one I knowof in the Dallas area has a Transgo installed.

It's unfortunate that the track staff will not pair up similiar vehicles for competitive racing..but's the only track in the area and they pack them in..I did run a few Mustang GT's and of course there was no challenge ..at least it wasn't rice.. :lol:
