Dexron II & Dexron III ATF questions
Can you put Dexron III in a tranny that calls for Dexron II? Also can you mix the two fluids in a tranny? Thanks!

Yes, Dexron II is superceded by Dexron III. It is ok to use the III in place of the II. I just did this in a 1993 Camry and the service manual indicates to use Dexron II or whatever supercedes it- no problems with the III.
BTW, I don't hink Dexron II is still sold. Buy the Dexron III (Chevron brand) at Costco. A case costs about $12.

I'm curious regarding at what mileage you all would suggest changing the trans fluid. I'm assuming it's always with a synthetic, right?
