Default '02 z06 getting locked out of 3rd at high rpm

As the title states, I am getting locked out of third when shifting at redline. The clutch feels fine. It goes into third fine for normal driving. It downshifts into third just fine with no grinds or anything like that. When I do a 1-2-3 or a 2-3 pull and I am shifting at/near redline it will not go into 3rd. What could be the issue? *completely bone stock car except for dte trans brace and hpe diff mount*

I didn't resolve this issue until I installed an aftermarket clutch... very common issue among most of the 6 speed cars, I would go as far to say they all have this problem and the people not complaining about it are not shifting their cars in the upper rpm band

I noticed yesterday that if I do a pull with TC/AH on, it will go into 3rd, but if I go into comp. driving mode, it locks me out again. Would there be any signs of clutch issues under other conditions besides 6k rpm shifts? Lol I see a lot of high hp and FI guys running rxt's and other crazy twin disc clutches with stock hudraulics, so I am fairly certain it is not my master cylinder. I could try replacing the clutch fluid. What fluid would you recommend? What clutch did you wind up going with?

I have an aftermarket clutch and new slave and have encountered this issue a couple times shifting from 2>3 at high rpm. Heard the fix is to throw in a tick master cylinder, in the process of doing that now but will be out of town this weekend. Will report back with an update after getting some seat time with the new master.

that's odd it won't happen with tc on, I wonder if power is being pulled out of it and that's why it lets you shift?... I always have mine in comp mode when I'm going to do a wot pull... I tried a tick master cylinder and full bleeds from the slave (not just taking fluid out of the reservoir like many people do) using expensive fluid and nothing helped with the oem clutch setup, as soon as I changed the clutch the problem was solved... I have an act twin rated to 970ft/lbs of torque, I use motul rbf600 fluid, tick master, oem slave, built trans which helps with shifting, and an older mgw shifter... needless to say the car now shifts like butter at wot

Stock is fine when they are working right. The master can and does go out and lock you out of high rpm shifts.
