Default instrument buttons cluster

Hi Guys:
I have a 04 convertible and I'm having problems with the buttons cluster on the right side this are buttons that you use for to check gauges, reset etc. My problem is that the top 2 buttons wont light up. I check lights and they are off when I hit the dash board with my hand they light up again. I bought another button cluster because I was not satisfied doing this and same thing happened. I check the connectors and every thing looks ok. Can anyone help me with this problem.
Thanks
JJ

Better check/test the wiring and connectors. You probably have a loose pin/terminal.

If both of the button clusters do the same thing, the connector would be the next logical place to look for a problem.

Are you saying that the buttons just don't like up properly, but that the buttons (when pressed) operate their assigned task normally? Sounds like a bad backlighting bulb to me.
