Default SuperCharger delivered today by OOPS

UPS delivered my Magnuson today and the box looked like it had been dragged from Arizona behind the truck. It was beaten up pretty badly so I took some picture before I opened it just in case. Well my worst fear came true-a piece of the front nose was broken off and was very noticable the moment I opened the flap. The supercharger was also turned at a cocked angle and the corners of the box were ripped as well. Maybe that's why it took an extra day to get it to me.
:mad :boxing :mad
Here is a link to the pictures, they didn't turn out to great with work camera. You can barely make out the large stickers all over the box that say FRAGILE

I have had more than one bad experience with UPS. The last couple times I have had to file a claim they reimbursed me fairly quickly. It was never something as expensive as this, though. I do not think they will give you much trouble, especially since you took pictures before opening the box.

That looks like a pretty crappy packing job, too. Looks like they just threw it into a cardboard box and had UPS pick it up. Something like that should have been crated, not boxed.

Tod, were going to make this right for you :yesnod: Your system was the first one we shipped out and honestly the box did not look like that when we received it from Magnuson. We will be on the horn with Magnuson first thing in the morning regarding their packing practices. Its become obviously apparant that we cannot trust the manufacturer to pack their own product properly.

Mark, you are ABSOLUTELY right. NO customer should receive a $6K mod, or $100 mod for that matter, in this condition let alone the poor packing from any vendor or manufacturer. We are going to take care of Tod in the most expediant way we can.

That's about par for the course!! Sucks!!

I can't stand UPS and dread every time that I order something and know it's coming via "them". I'm sitting here right now pizzed off because I paid extra for "quicker" delivery of an item and after looking at the tracking history on their web site a little while ago found out they SUPPOSEDLY tried to deliver it today. BUT I was here all day and they never showed nor did they leave a sticker on my door "claiming" that they did. What a bunch of :bs.

Once again, for the upteenth time, I have to go catch their trucks at their dispatch building in the morning to go get my stuff. I AM SO SICK OF UPS and their :bs ways.

No problems with FedEx though

UPS is crazy too!
I ordered 3 rifles and 2000 rounds of ammo. This by Federal Law requires an adult signature. The psyco driver left it on my front porch!

Hate it when that happens. Maybe Xtreme can get another one out to you quickly -- you have already had to wait once. :mad :mad

Man you guys are tuff on us lowly UPS Drivers. Having said that on the gun and ammo thing it's the shippers responsibility to ship it out adult sig required, we don't know whats in the box. The supercharger thing is bad news I hope it was insured, but still don't know whether they will pay on something packed so poorly. It should have been crated or packed in solid styrofoam at the very least. Try shipping that same box Fed Ex ground and see what happens, I would be real surprised if it would look much different. Sorry for your troubles GraveDigger, looks like the shipper is going to make things right. That's what I like about our forum vendors they will go the extra mile. This is a rare thing let me tell you from 21 years at UPS. Good Luck :)

I have to disagree here. EVERY TIME i get an order shipped by UPS, the box looks like it's been around the world twice - beat to hell.

FedEx on the other hand, i LOVE them. They're tracking is always on the spot, and arrives as if it had just come from down the block. Airborne Express was another i liked dealing with.

As to the driver, well the driver that delivers to my house is cool and i don't blame him - he always takes my stuff around back to the deck and covers it with a tarp i got sitting out there.

I cannot believe this bs is happening. I spoke with Mike about the damaged shipment and the claim is already filed with UPS. We will speak with Magnuson in the am about the poor packaging job as well. Maybe we can get a kit (or two) expedited because of this. We will keep in touch with you Tod and get this handled asap.
