What voltage does your DIC indicate for you battery on avg?
My car has been at the dealership for three weeks as they tried to fix a Dual Climate Control head. During that time, I'm sure they had my door open for hours on end for the three weeks the dealership had it. I purchased a new GEL battery the day I took the car in.
Here's my question:
What should the typical readout for a C5 after 10 min of driving be? I'm currently between 12.4 - 12.8 and would like to know if this is normal or below normal.

Mine is 13.0 - 13.1 and i think it way too low, a battery would love seeing
14 - 14.4 volt.
Not to mention fuel pump that could deliver more fuel with higher voltage.
And that is my problem right now.
I am maxing out injectors (42 lb/h) above 5000 RPM`s and start to go lean.
Any suggestions on how to bump up the alternator to deliver 14 volt ?
And what intank fuel pump alternative is there ?
14 - 14.4 volt.

I was routinely in the 14's until my battery went dead-thanks to an interior light I left on :mad

14-14.1 without the stereo on...Drops to around 13.4 with my amps on...It's dropped down to high 12's with the radio cranking sitting in traffic.

Mine varies between 13.2 and 14 when running accessories. I have a 700 watt Alpine amp driving a 12" Alpine Sub. Even with a monster capaciter it draws a little but a least my headlights don't dim and brighten everytime the bass hits.

C5Norway , contact AL at MMS to discuss your fuel pressure issues..MIke installed a custom fuel management system that addressed the exact same problem you are having.

They installed a High Pressure fuel pump , larger injectors and a Fuel booster..My car was leaning out around 5500 RPM.

So this posting went out last night...this morning, my DIC read out is at 13.8. If the majority is at 14 or better, do you suppose the dealership ran my juice down over the 3 week timeframe?
Also, why would I read 13.8 now and only 12.5 lastnight? :confused:

I'm usually around 13.0 to 13.4. I think mine may read a tad low because of the supercharger though.

My C5 with AC delco batt reads 13.8 after start up, and about 13.2 after fifty miles of freeway driving. My F-body read the same UNTILL I installed a gel batt, I get 13.5-13.8 after startup and 12.4-12.6 after fifty miles of freeway. High charging voltage can be a sign of a dieing battery.
