Plugs? Which ones to upgrade to????
Going to be putting headers on real soon and figure it would be a great time to change plugs...What are the best for performance in an otherwise stock motor? Just bolt on parts so far...
TIA as always. :seeya

i am going with the TR55 1iX they are different from the 55's in that they can go down to a .40 gap. on my '01 i had kr with the 55's gapped at 55 and then dropped them to .45 based on some recommendations and eliminated the kr. i think on the Z i am going to drop down to a 40 gap and see what happens, but then again i made 370 rwhp with stock plugs after the headers were installed.

NGK's get my vote as well, I had them in my TA and after I put them in I felt a difference. Im going to put them in the Vette here next month myself.

Re: Plugs? Which ones to upgrade to???? (BAD2BNE)
FWIW,
This evening I just finished installing some AC/Delco "Rapid Fire" #12. I replaced my stock plugs with 34K on them. The lumpiness in the idle is now gone and there was a perceived "gain" in the pull during acceleration.
Considering that two of the "pucks" from the stock plugs were gone and the 34K in mileage - I bet that I would have felt an improvement with any plug used. Just thought I would give you another idea.
Good Luck,
Eric

Re: Plugs? Which ones to upgrade to???? (embassured)
On my 98 Vert all the pucks were gone at 37K! No more spark plugs with pucks for me! Also had to replace wires, was getting some misfires on my buddys Autotap. End result no more misfires and very smooth idle.
