A/C problem
With AC light on, hot air comes out thru the driver's vents and cold air thru the passenger's vents. Also turning the passenger's temperature dial doesn't change the temperature display. Would appreciate any advice. Many thanks in advance!

New to C5s, just got mine last week, and just got the FSM Tuesday, but if it's blowing COLD on one side, and HOT on the other, it would seem that it's an issue with a vent door not moving correctly, and NOT a Freon charge issue.
If it was a Freon issue, it would seem to me that it would blow hot on both sides.
Just my $.02

JMelton, as you get more experience with the C5s you will see, that is not the case. It may make sense to you, but that is not the way the C5 AC system works. I don't have time to explain it, but as you read more you will find out the why.

As mentioned already. Low freon can very well cause it to be cold on one side and hot on the other. Also check the codes. If you get actuator codes you could have a bad actuator or it is just out of sync. They can be reset if that is the issue. I had both of my actuators go out. When that happened they made noise behind the dash trying to set themselves.
So if you don't have any HVAC codes or noises behind the dash then probably just low on freon.

Actuator makes one side a different temp then the other. Check you codes to see which one is messed up. Temp **** not working sounds like ac controller were the **** is located is bad.
