Default Clutch master cylinder braided ss line w nylon sleeve on end

I had a question as Im replacing a clutch on my c5 convertible. The factory stainless steel line off the clutch master cylinder has a nylon sleeve on the end of it. Is it supposed to have a crack in it?

It mates to the slave cylinder.

Im just double checking that I didnt damage the coupling/nylon sleeve before reassembling

thanks!

Yes the nylon sleeve should have a split in it.
