Default '99 pass side headlamp won't go up...

When I turn on my headlights with the column stalk switch the (left)driver side light opens and closes fine..here's the problem the passenger (right) side headlamp does nothing.

I tried to turn the black ****, it just spins. The right side headlight won't go up. But I can hear the motor running..

Is this the plastic gear that needs replaced or something else ? Also I can raise the (right) pass side lamp manually but it won't stay up. Just flops up and down.

I need to know what's up before I order the bronze gear repair kit.

Thanks for all replies..

Yes, it must be your gears. If you don't have the links on how to fix it let us know.

Thanks dadaroo..I have the fix links..I'm ready to order the new gear. Just trying to be certain that the gear is the issue. Must be be completely worn away as I feel nothing when I lift and lower the light by hand.
