Default DRM Bilstein GB, these work great on C5s of all shapes

Ladies and gentleman we are at it again with a few differences then v1.0-v5.0

1st, The order has been placed (ETA July, 2014)
2nd, lower down payment (Help ease the tension because of other vendors not making it happen)
3rd, updates emailed to the people on the list. (So you don't have to check the thread all the time, unless you want to)

Here is the history of the product.
DRM took a set of standard Bilstein sport shocks and installed them into a C6Z. We found them to be a improvement but felt the car needed something better. Using our years of racing and street driving experience on Bilstein shocks and started working on the valving. Our goal was to have a shock that

1.Increased feel for the driver
2.Rid all unsettling feelings in the car over bumps
3.Offer a better ride
4.Increase mechanical grip
5.Keep the back end of the car planted!

After finding the right setup we had to start building them. The normal Sport shock was being built in Ohio, sent to NC, then shipped to CA. Then took apart, yes taking apart a brand new shock and re-valving them to our specs. This was not a easy, cheap way of marketing a product.
The price was 695.00 for a set, not including shipping

We also offer a Bushing up-grade, that has raised questions. The bushings are made out of a harder poly material to allow less bushing deflection and longer bushing life. There isn't much of any drawbacks to running the bushings. Besides some added feel of the road and allowing the shocks to work better. The cost on the bushings is 25 dollars.

So here is the deal on the group buy v6.0.

50 dollars down and 375 dollars at the time of delivery. Total $425.00 Shipped to the lower 48 states.

MUST SIGN UP BY June 15th at midnight. After that the price will increase due to us warehousing and not being able to recover cost quickly.

Sign up below for easiest ordering.

You can also call in your order to our sales office. International shipping is not a problem (extra fees will apply)

Thanks

Just wanting to verify that these will not present issues if your car has been lowered on stock bolts.

I suggest and recommend that everyone lowers their cars 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch with these shocks Unless your roads are horrible.

Randy;

Is the high speed compression damping increased or decreased compared to the standard sport shocks?

Front's increased
Rears about the same maybe a tick less (depending on what you consider high speed)

Thank you sir,
BTW with every order I print. There is a extra page with no information on it. So I flip them over and print out targets and give them to the local gun club for youth .22 league.

This thread will probably answer a lot of the common questions.

what did you guys wind up doing to the rear?

remember the 01z that had that stiff rear rebound curve and it was considerably less stable on the street than the 04 which on the dyno appears softer?

you guys ever figure out a way to keep the compliance and increase the control a bit?

The 01z had a very aggressive compression curve. That was one of the main downfalls with them. Choppy, unsettled and zero confidence for the average driver. The 04z shocks were the only ones of their kind. Since 97 they have had more or less the same configuration for shocks, why was 04 the only time we had anything close to it? Kind of strange I think. Sure they have been used in some very fast cars with fast times set, but that is a combination of things making it happen.

I think we hit the nail on the head with a combination of performance-comfort. Bilstein makes a great shock, no questioning that. We took that goodness and made them better (played around with compression and rebound curves) for our customers. Which consist of a mix between daily drivers that like to have fun on the back roads, hpde, time trial, auto-x and hill climb events. Read up on the reviews and you will see we did GOOD

On my 02 Z06, how would upgrading to these compare to the 04 z06 shocks?
