Default When are strong pushrods necessary

I read all the time that people run heavier push rods. Has anybody ran stock push rods on higher lift cams and lived? Stock RPM of 6500

Pushrod stiffness is the key parameter to prevent flex and valve bounce. Hardened pushrods increase strength, not stiffness. OD is the quickest way to increase stiffness. Weight on the lifter side is not nearly the issue it is on the valve side. I would install the stiffest pushrod that will fit in the car, and if the heads are off, I would personally open them up for 3/8" OD pushrods.
