Default Suspension Modification for 2004

I have a 2004 commemorative corvette that has the Z51 handling. I am the original owner, use this car as my daily driver, and have put over 152K miles on it. Although I do love the Z51 suspension, it has become a little much on the lower back at times. Instead of purchasing a new vehicle I am considering redoing the suspension to soften the ride so I do not feel every bump and pebble on the road. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Install a fresh set of base shocks and sway bars.

Koni shocks with their highly digressive valving handle the sharp bumps the best.

Sway bars should not make much of a difference, but you could get both used base shocks and used base bars for almost nothing....
