1999 C5 Radiator Replacement
I am replacing the radiator in my C5. The service manual says to raise the car and take the radiator out through the bottom. I plan to do this using jack stands rather then using a lift. Has anyone done this and know how much clearance between the car and the garage floor is required? I don't want to get that far only to learn there is not enough clearance to remove the radiator and put in the new one.
Thank you advance.

Burning Brakes
I cant tell you the exact height needed, but I drove mine up on a home made ramp of 2 x 6"s, probably 6 to 8 in high, and did it. I believe you can get it through the top but you will need to be underneath to unhook everything.

Drifting
I just had mine out, all from above, no lifting of the car involved. Very easy. Toughest part was getting the new lower hose on radiator. Removing from below would seem tough. I have a manual trans, so no trans lines involved, but I think you would be able to reach from above. The fans and condenser rest in slots on the radiator, lift and separate both and radiator pulls out. To install new, I used cardboard to protect rad. on both sides and slid it in between the fans and ac. I also cut the lower hose at the radiator instead of trying to remove.
