clutch decision
2001 C5 - Only mods are CAI and Borla stingers and cross pipe. I'm about to take the plung and install LG long tube headers and cross pipe.
I'm thinking while I'm down there to replace the clutch kit. However I'm a bit timid on to what extent. Currently the clutch pedal engages close to the floor because of what I assume is the need for a fluid change. Clutch also shutters a bit when engaged under high RPM.
I'm thinking to replace the kit including bearings and slave cylinder, but not sure about flywheel replacement. Never done it before. I may look at a cam replacement later but I don't think I'll ever put in mods that will get me over 450RWHP.
Should I replace the flywheel?
Also, what would be a good clutch kit replacement?
Thx.

Thx. I've read a few posts here on the subject and because of the flywheel and pressure plate balancing requirements I think I'm going to focus on bleeding the system until I truly need a clutch replacement. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

ls7 or monster 1 would be the ticket
but
those balancing issues, or "potential" issues could make the job a bit more complex. remember most cars seem to be find with a zero balanced clutch. "most" just doesn't matter if you don't have one of those cars
also agree on milking what you have as long as possible
