Ive been looking around the internet for pics of the throttlebody bypass mod and havent really seen any real clear pics on what hoses u use to attach the straight pipe to. Anyone that has some clear pics or diagrams, I would appreciate if u could send them to me. Thanks

On the bottom of the throttle body there are two hoses connected to it, remove them at the TB and install the bypass tube between those hoses, sorry I don't have pics!

Here are a few pics of mine, but they don't show the spot on the TB where the hoses are attached. If you look on the bottom of the TB on either side you will see a hose connected to it. Pull those off and reconnect them using the TB bypass pipe.

Go get one of these from the parts store and connect between the radiator and front steam line. They come in packs of 2.

I just used a plastic connector. Can get them at any parts store. Simple, easy modification.

It moves the hot coolant away from the TB and is supposed to reduce the temp of the air passing through it.

In other words it doesn't do much, traveling 10 mph air is moving through about 2"/second and at 60 mph 2" in 0.1 sec.

It does lower the heat of the TB, but yeah, the effects are minimal.

Has anyone noticed more sludge buildup at the TB after doing this?

I did this on my old 5.0 and it sludged up a little more, but they had "low tension" oil rings, and had a little blow by from the factory.

I havent noticed anything, but I have an LS6 Valley Cover and catch can installed on my FRC so my throttle body stays perfectly clean. Instead of splicing hoses together to bypass it I just went to my local auto parts store and picked up hose long enough to go from the radiator to the coolant pipe. While I don't believe there's really a gain by doing this, I like it because I don't make a mess every time the throttle body comes off. Here's somewhat of a photo of how I did mine
