Default Will a powered passenger seat rail work for the drivers side?

My 98 had a completely broken drivers side seat height adjuster when I bought it and I was wondering if i could use a power passenger side seat rail assembly on the drivers side?

Do you have the Memory option? If so I would think it would lose that feature. Not at home now but I did not think the passenger side had memory. Have you determined what is actually wrong with the driver's side. Could be as simple as a connection, switch or motor issue. Has water gotten to the switch possibly? Sorry I cannot be more specific.

You can, but the switch and seat tilt handle will be on the inside of the seat and there is no room to get your hand in there. You'll also need to extend the harness to the seat. I'd search for a used replacement or send it out for a rebuild.

I have a working driver side rail assembly I will sell you for $150. I swapped it out for manual tracks to cut weight.

If it's broken where I think it is, there are repair kits available now to fix broken brackets. I can't recall the source right now. Maybe someone else can.
Note: the kit I have in mind is NOT to repair a "rocking" seat, it is to replace a broken casting piece on the seat frame.

I wish I had taken a picture when I had the seat out but it was two breaks in the actual castings. No memory option but I did forget about the adjustment switches.

Do a Google/Bing for "Corvette seat repair kit"

This pic is typical of one being offered by several different vendors. Note: This kit addresses TWO problems at once. Namely, the problem your seat has, as well as fixing the "rocking seat" issue, which is also a common C5 seat problem. Prices are in the $60-$80 range.
