Alright guys as many of you know I installed a cam a couple months back. As soon as we fired it back up the car was running cooler. I thought this was due to new coolant and cleaning the radiator while I had it out. But now I'm getting a p0128 DTC. This code basically means that the car didn't warm up in a predetermined amount of time. And now that the temps have dropped outside about 155 is as hot as the motor gets. I'm running a 160 T-Stat and my car is tuned for that T-Stat. Any suggestions? I'm leaning toward a bad T-Stat hanging slightly open or the temp sensor itself took a dump.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Yep, one of the known perils of using the 160 T-stat. This is the first time I've heard of it throwing a code though. In TN you have about 6 months of the year where you can drive but you need to be conscious of the temps. Your oil isn't heating up to the recommended operating temps. You could try a 180 T-stat maybe.

My car has a 160 degree thermostat and I HATE it. I love it during the summer as my coolants sits low around 180-190 and my oil sits at about 210. But driving it in the winter like right now scares me to death. I don't get on it at all. I'm probably going to throw a 180 degree or stock one back in and get the fans re-tuned when I take a trip back to my hometown where my tuner's at.

You're not even reaching the rated temperature of the thermostat so it's likely a defective piece.
