------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am on my third set of Goodyear EMTs with just a tad over 222K miles on my '99 coupe. With the amount of driving I do, I wouldn't risk driving without the run flats.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dean: I am impressed with your 222K on a 1999 Coupe. How has the car held up and what kind of maintenance have you performed?
I think it would be interesting to hear comments from others that have 100K+ mileage on a C5 to see how they are holding up
What, if any, major repairs were required.

Since there have been no postings, it looks like Dean is the only forum member with mileage on a C5. The rest of us have hanger queens that run out of the warranty time before hitting the 36K. Surely there are some high mileage 97s or 98s around?

I only have 20.5K on my 97. Its hard to get a lot of miles on the third car in a two driver family especially when it only gets about 250 miles on it from December through March.

My '98 is a daily driver and is nearing 100K miles. She's on her 3rd set of tires [back to EMT from Nitto 555's]; needed a new radiator after a nasty run in with some road debris in 01; a bent linkage pin replaced under warranty in 00; a headlight actuator replaced in 02 and [touch wood] other than that and all major GM scheduled maintenance [I think I did the 90K in March], she's still a dream and from a cost/mile to operate perspective I think remarkably affordable.

Re: High Mileage C5 Maintenance Experiences (NewVetteLover)
Just keep in mind that when you put 100K+ miles on a car in that short a time, it is almost always highway miles, which are the easiest on a car.
100K+ miles on a car that is driven in urban/suburban conditions at the rate of say 10-12000 miles per year will probably be a much different experience, with a lot more stress, wear, and tear on the vehicle.
I don't think you can compare the two.
