Default '97-'00 Corvette TPMS To '01-'04 TPMS Conversions Available – www.gmpartshouse.com

Hi All,

Thanks for taking a look at the TPMS/Key FOB conversion thread. You guys have been asking for this for a while, but the parts haven't been available and now they have started to become available again. I have put together a kit and a special price for you on this conversion. The kit is $429.99. If you are interested in only doing one key fob instead of two, that is fine. Just let me know and I can help you out with it. Click on the link below to order from our website.

Thanks,
Gene.

This kit includes the following:

(1) #1 Key FOB
(1) #2 Key FOB
(1) Remote Control Door Lock Receiver
(1) Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Connector
(4) Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS)
(4) Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor Mounting Nuts

This kit retails for $685.42 and includes everything you need to convert your TPMS and key FOB’s in your 1997-2000 Corvette to the 2001-2004 Corvette. This is done to change the future costs or current costs of the more expensive 1997-2000 Corvette TPMS and key FOB’s to the lesser expensive 2001-2004 Corvette TPMS and key FOB’s.

Sorry to ask what may be a dumb question but why is this upgrade needed? I ask because I just lost (display reading xxx) one of my sensors so before I replace just the one I wanted to know what I may be missing here.

Well, at times the 97-00 key FOBS have been backordered with no ETA. Eventually they won't be available any longer.

With the 2001 and up kit, it will be available much longer and the tire pressure sensors are about half of the cost of the 97-00. Some even say they have a more extended range with the new setup as well.

Gene, Is it possible to order the receiver and receiver pigtail only? I have the sensors and key fob already.
Thanks

Can I just do the FOBs without the TPMS or vice versa? Or are they somehow integrated together?

I did this conversion on my 98 and couldn't be happier. It's been almost a year now, and the peace of mind knowing I won't have to worry about finding the old tps's or trying (and failing) to hack them apart and replace the batteries is priceless.

Gene, does GM sell the antenna for the FOB receiver? My old unit had one but the new unit doesn't come with one (or mine didn't). The fobs still work, but I'm not sure if they have the same range as they would with an antenna on the unit.

They are integrated together on the same frequency.

This particular unit does not have an antenna.
