Default Where or how can i get the low rise headlights?

Hello again bros! Its been a while since I haven't posted here. Its been a very busy journey for my dad and I, I just recently learned how to ride a motorcycle and we've been going up and down taking practice drills for me mainly on the bikes. However in the meantime I was looking for some accessories to add to my C5 and I came across these sick looking headlights for the Vette, as I did more research on them I learned that they were a modification done to the original headlights. My dad was going to add the conversion of the C6 lights to the C5 but when I showed him the low rise lights he really liked them and so we wanted to know how or where can we can find them. If its something we can do ourselves, we would be more than happy to know how we can do them. Thanks a lot bros! I'd be more than appreciated to hear some replies! Until next time

As far as I know, you can't without building them yourselves. I believe the original low opening lights were made in Germany with few produced. Then, JW got a set and make his own kit but it got hung up on the surround never getting made and it died off without going past the first group buy or possibly the first BETA testing units being sold. Here are some threads, good luck.

These are real HID bi-level projectors. The light pattern of these should be excellent.

These are the threads of the lights based on the German design. They are Halogen low beam projector and high beam reflector housing with HID retrofit kits so the light pattern really isn't as good.

Making the lights should be fairly clear. You'll have to fabricate a bracket and mount up the housings. It may not be clear in the threads but the lights on the C5 open by running the motor between 2 stops. You just have to put a new stop in the spot you where you want the lights to stop moving and they'll stop opening there. Take a look at the arm on the motor and move it manually and you'll see what I mean. I think there is a post with pics of a bracket which does this in the JW threads.

The Sun Guns (I have one of the prototype sets mounted on one of my C5s) are about to be re-released in another GP soon. The shrouds are now being fabricated for initial release.

Here's the latest thread detailing the progress.

The thread I posted on the initial installation on my C5.

Default Thanks Guys!

Thank you guys so much for the help I really found it useful! I can't thank you bros enough, if everything goes super well, I will post some pics and most certainly help out other C5 owners as well. As a last resort I had in mind to convert the lights to the C6 kit. But I really hope these threads you bros posted will work like a charm. Thanks once again bros!
