Default Headlight Acuator kills Battery?

Anybody else with this problem.
Optima RedTop, only 2 yrs.old, maintained with CTEK battery tender --was DOA!
Local Chevy dealer's Corvette guy says he's heard of the "headlight acuator" on the C5s going bad.. and if that's the case that can and will kill batteries! Says the part alone is several hundred bucks?

Yesterday I heard the battery tender "tick, tick, ticking" loudly. When I disconnected the CTEK from the battery I noticed the battery was dead... no light under hood and doors all locked. Even after unhooking battery tender, the car kept ticking from somewhere around the right front headlight. ? Maybe it is the headlight acuator?

Anyone else?

Default Headlight actuator kills battery

Yup, just happened to me, again. My left side headlight actuator stopped working and battery dead. 2 years ago happened with the right side.

The headlight control module can and do go bad.. You said head light ACTUATOR.

Two different animals.

I would suspect the CONTROL MODULE is bad as it what turns the headlight motors ON & OFF. It uses current to signal when to shut the motors off. The sealing compound on the back of the modules shrinks and can allow water and moisture into the module. Feel it... If its WARM to the touch, it bad.

Its below the passengers headlight assy on the frame header.
