Default Looking for quiet and smooth tires

Really tired of the road noise on my 2001 from the Goodyears. Any suggestions on what tires to buy (not runflats) that are quite smooth and will not break the bank. I am a senior ( no drags or track time) and only put about 3000k a year on the car....Thanks

I went with BFG KDWs Much quieter than the Goodyears. I have a Z06, not base model and had to bump the fronts up to 275/40/17

The new Michelin PSS tires are killer in all respects:

Ride
Grip
Handling
Noise

They cost a little more but get tremendous mileage too. Better tire and cheaper tire than the older PS2s. #1 summer performance tire for all those reasons.

They transformed my car. Would never go back to run flats or low cost tires.

At your mileage use of 3,000 miles a year, they should give you at least 6 years. So, for about an extra $10/month or $120/year, you get all those advantages & benefits. I say 6 years because that's when all tires start to get old and start cracking. Mileage wise, you could probably get 7 or 8 years lowering your cost/year.

Of course, your decision will also have to be based on the size of wheels you are running. Good luck with the decision.

Definitely agree! If you want an all season tire over a summer tire, they also make (and we have in stock) the new Pilot Sport AS3 which can almost match the Super Sports in dry and wet grip, but does have a longer mileage warranty. The Toyo Proxes T1 Sport is another good bang for the buck summer tire also. If you guys ever need help with tires, please feel free to give me a call.
