Service Active Handling message, no codes
I'm on a long trip and started getting Service active handling , service vehicle soon message. Hooked up the Predator and there were no codes stored. Happened 5 or 6 times. A couple times when I dropped below 55mph, it felt like one of the brakes was applying themselves for a second and the active handling message would come up then go away. This happened a couple times. My brother once had similar issues and it ended up being a steering wheel position sensor but he had a code set. Oh, also the cruise has been kicking off also. Any ideas? Really confused as to why no codes were set.

That was you're first mistake..
I agree with 8vette7.. Use the internal DTC reading capability

After you pull your codes from the dic, I bet you will get C1287 and or C1288. That would be the SWPS. I had the same thing happen to my 04. Changed out the sensor and no problems since.

Codes I found for the a/h system are 1221, 1222, 1218, 1287, 1288. I dont have the manuals with me. Will have to research them when I get back but more and more I'm thinking the swps is going to have to be replaced.

Sorry for the missing information. Trying to do this and juggle vacation activities too. I'm not going to be able to check the wheel speed sensors untill I return home later this week. I will check the codes again and be a little more attentive. I really appreciate your advice. thanks.

C1222 H RF wheel speed sensor input signal zero.

C1287 H Steering sensor rate malfunction
C1288 H Steering sensor issue related to C1287.
Not sure what the c1248 H is for.

O.K.. I started from scratch, erased all codes and put about 600 miles on the car. The service A/H, traction control message came on, kicked the cruise off. I checked the codes without shutting the engine off and got C1287 H C AND C1288 H C. Both of these are related to the swps I understand. The same thing happened twice on that run. Assuming I need to replace the swps to correct this issue. Best place to buy one?

Thank You for all your help. I certainly have learned allot on pulling codes. I'm wondering what the Predator is even useful for!! Its not even a good code reader.
