Most Ca guys keep the duration in the 218-222 range and the LS @
116-117 but if you already have the cam I'd strongly suggest milling
those 799s about .035" AND using Cometic .040" or .045" head
gaskets to jack your compression up to 11.1-11.3 range and then a
SPOT-ON tune will get you there but any short cuts will fail. GL2YA

Lingenfelter makes a cam just for you! It's called the GT2-3 cam. Sits on a 118.5 LSA and the duration is in the range mentioned above. They claim a 20-30 horsepower increase depending on which cam your replacing with it (ls1 vs ls6 cam). I don't live in an emission state but this is probably the cam I'll be going with since it's real smooth and doesn't kill drivability.

That cam should pass CA smog - it has 3 degrees negative overlap. Cams with 0 and negative overlap will pass CA smog with a good tune. I passed with a 228/232 115LSA cam

Screw those small cams. Im a cali emissions choked owner too. I went with a 222/228 114lsa cam. Even a 224/228 has been shown to pass here a lot. But to be sure, I knocked the intake down a coupe degrees. I researched this for over a year before doing it. My tuner knows it will pass as well.
This is more like a 35-40hp cam.

42lb injectors...duty cycle was very low/safe. I don't recall the pushrod length, the intaller had to measure to get the correct length
