I went with TOYO Proxis T1Rs (non run flats) on my 06 Coupe and my 02 ZO6. EXCELLENT Tire. They have excellent wear grip and cold weather traction.

Another good atribute, they are not noisey at highway speeds.

I thought those were discontinued....they have a new tire out now to replace those.Proxes1 different pattern....we had those on my girlfriends 02 up until this last go round when they were between the T1R and the new ones...she was not amused

Michelin if you enjoy spending way more than you need to for good tires. Michelin has become the Zaino of tires on this site...

MY BFG KDWs have out performed and outlasted the Michelins on my SC C5....the KDWs still provide traction way past the point where the Michelins failed to do so in terms of wear.


OP do you want Non RFT or RFT tires that will help in making suggestions.

I sure thought that of the PS2's, especially looking at 19" rubber. But, the Super Sports are actually reasonably priced except I'm not sure you can get them in stock coupe sizes.

People seem to also generally like the Hankook V12's and The performance Kuhmo tires.

I paid $750 out the door at Discount Tire for 4 Nitto 555's and they've been on 30,000 miles now with tons of life on the fronts, the rears will probably go another 10,000 before needing replaced

prices are kind of batty these days. there is so much more support using 305 30 19 and 265 35 18 for sizes versus the ten year old sizes.

if anyone is considering an inexpensive quality wheel like the tsw's

tires alone are reason to.

i actually like my stock z06 wheels but am going tsw just for tires

every year fewer oem coupe and z06 sizes are left standing

275 40 18 and 265 40 17 are now oddball sizes

I have a Z06 and recently made the switch to BFGoodrich KDW2s in the front. They don't make the the 265/40/17, but do make 255/40/17 and 275/40/17. If 275/40/18 is the stock C5 rear size (mentioned above), they do make that size for the rears as well.

Quiet tire, lots of tread depth, pretty sticky, still does well in the rain. I had good luck running them on imports several years ago. Would be a good tire for those who drive their C5s in weather other than 70+ degrees and sunny.

I went with groodrich comp 2's, had good reviews/ reasonable, seem great/smooth so far, no complaints yet 2000 miles.

I went with the BFG sport comp 2 in stock sizes and have been really happy with them. They've been on about a year and 6000 miles.

This! KDW's stick like glue and look awesome. Michelins are complete junk.

I put on some Nitto INVO's on my C5. I really like the way they grip. I have about 10k miles on them and still looks like I have about 2/3 life left to wear bars. There no directional so you car rotate side to side. In heavy rain on freeway they don't push water away as good as my previous set of BFG's so you just have to slow down a little but in the dry the heat up quick and grip the road better than any tire I have ever had before. As of right now I would buy them again if I need tires.
