Default Buffing Acrylic top

I bought a Mothers kit to buff out the clouding on my GF's headlights [wait...I mean her Volvo's]
Havent done it yet, but I've seen it work well on other cars.
Anyone tried using it on a clear top for the usual crazing issues? Never seen this kit mentioned on a search.

You cannot get rid of the crazing without doing a complete refinshing. The crazing is cracks in the clear coat finish caused by the UV from the sun coupled with heat. The clear coat they put on the acrylic top is much harder than the usual clear coat paint. I'm not sure, but I believe that the clear coat on the acrylic top is to give it more scratch resistance.
