ok I checked on 4 different computers 2 at work and 2 at home. Also checked on my phone and all work. I think perhaps some firewall setting is preventing you from seeing.

None of the pics work for me either. Even if I click on them I just get the never ending opening screen. I'm using Firefox.

Updated thread with new image links. Photobucket no longer allows 3rd party image hosting. Anyone else using photobucket here should probably update your important threads.

Just ran across this thread doing some research on torque tube rebuild and some other things and I completely agree. Fantastic documentation. This should absolutely be a sticky.

Nice write up. When you mated the diff to the trans, did you use any procedures or write up? Did you get a new o ring, and did you use Permatex on the lip of the trans where it mates with the diff?

There really isn't any special procedure for putting the two back together. It comes apart the same way it goes back together. The only issue is you can't really get a torque wrench in for the lower two nuts. Pretty sure I installed a new o-ring, but I definitely didn't use any sealant.

BTW found a pic of my gear contact pattern I thought I'd share.

Hello, I'm planning on pulling the drive train and a few days. Does a write up exist on installing the TT by itself and then the Trans/diff? I've done the entire assembly with no problem. I just follow Dope's instructions. Also, I'm replacing the Flywheel with the Luk LS7 assembly. How do I measure to identify if I need to add shims? In Vegas we have a place called Dan drivelines that can balance my new flywheel.

Thanks

I don't have a Press, how can I do my bearings in my TT? Would a bearing puller work ok?

Thanks

If you have done the whole assembly, the TT by itself is 10x easier. The Tick performance website has good instructions on how to do the measurements.

That would get them off, but you still need to put the new ones on. I don't know if it would fit in a vice.
