Warning about A4 fluid cooled by radiator
I am not sure if heat really has anything to do with it but the transmission shop said it did
At the Transmission shop I was told that there is a small weak barrier between the coolant and Transmission fluid. You do not want this barrier to fail. Mine did, he told me that it was most likely because corvettes ran a bit hotter before the fans turned on and then they cooled quickly. That eventually broke the seal. I saw steam from under the hood and being on the interstate I could not stop right away. In less than half a mile I had a red foamy mess in my coolant and the transmission started slipping bad.
It killed the transmission and required a full rebuild. I told them I would order a new radiator but they suggested a separate cooler and keep my radiator which would be cheaper. It took over half an hour with the thermostat removed and fresh water being pumped through it before it was only water coming out. Then another 15 minutes after running it in town with radiator flush cleaner added to the water.

Safety Car
I installed the V3 2-3 weeks ago. Im seeing cooler coolant temps by at least 20* and because of the way my intercooler is setup, the fans are also pulling cooler air through it. Great product. This is on a vortech supercharged LS3 C5.

Ok, don't want to get stuck in traffic again without it so v2 ordered and watching the mailbox!

Makes me think of the Woodward Cruise coming up in Detroit. "Worlds longest self inflicted traffic jam." Going 2-3 miles per hour from Detroit to Pontiac and back. The most excellent cars all around you to see as you go. Amazing rolling show. Stock Vette probably ok (But I did need to turn off to a side street and drive my mildly modified C5 in side streets to cool off) modified engine essential to have low speed cooling.
ANY track car needs to have this to cool off between track sessions. Run it a while while you wait, turn on the engine to circulate that cool radiator fluid.
Well worth it and the company service is second to none.

Thank you minitech and BABYBUGY!
minitech,
A self inflicted traffic jam like that can also heat up the automatic trans fluid for those that have them. And since the radiator coolant is also used to cool the trans fluid on most setups the CoolIt helps cool that fluid too.

This is also a great upgrade for people with automatic transmissions to help keep them cool.

I give this product a strong endorsement. Modified my car with Twin turbos and it will run on the hot side in the summer. Also track my car at times and enjoy the ability to keep the air and fluid running (electric water Pump) with the engine off.
Best money spent and you can install it in 10 minutes.

Did you know: The name "Corvette" was borrowed from a line of small, fast navy ships used in World War II.
