Default Just brought a Corvette, what to do next??

OK, after 40 some years after owning a 63, 67, 69 and letting them slip through my fingers I finally rejoined life and brought a beautiful 2001 Corvette Millennium Yellow convertible, 2 owner and 26, 000 miles. The previous owner didn't drive it much the last few years and it sat on a dealer lot after he traded it in for about 5 months. Obviously, I'm going to do filters, oil, flush cooling, rear end, etc. not because I know for a fact that it needs those services but because I want to establish a baseline on maintenance and go from there knowing that everything will be regular from that point on.

Anyone care to kick in with a list of things I should do maintenance-wise or items to have serviced, even if it's just for peace of mind, just starting out?

Thanks,
Charles

Besides what you have listed, another thing I would check is the tires to see how old they are.

Conratulations on getting back into a Vette.

Check the tires for dry rot or cracks, even if they have good tread, replace them for safetys sake.

Drive it and enjoy it....

I don't think I have ever bought a used car that didn't need a new battery. Corvettes are very sensitive to any battery or connection problems. Make sure the battery is up to par.
