2001 M6 Z SLAMMING out of Reverse
My 2001 Z REALLY doesn't like reverse. It will go into gear just fine, but as soon as I start letting out on the clutch, it will slam out of gear pretty hard, and sometimes it also grinds out.
I check before I begin letting out on the clutch to make sure it's all the way in, and it seems to be.
Anybody else having this problem?
I haven't changed the transmission fluid since I got it a couple of weeks ago, but I will in the next few weeks. I also am getting ready to order a new shifter from MGW, but I don't know if that will make any difference.

The shifter alignment might help. From what I have read, the shift mechanism doesn't really move the reverse shift fork far enough for good engagement. You can machine 1 side of the fork and install a shim on the opposite side to help this.
