Default c6 rims on c5

I have a opportunity to obtain 07 z rims for little or nothing and wanted to know besides the way they look on the car what else to expect. I know they may stick out some. Will I need any spacers? Will this amount that sticks out cause damage to the fender from road debris?

Hmm....that make me curious what the offsets are. I have set of OZ Allegerita rims that were advertised as standard c6 fitment (not ZO6) and I had to add a 12mm spacer in the rear to fit a set of 305 on an 18 x 11 rim. I guess the Z rims have a higher positive offset to fit those flares.

Yes, 1 inch of tire sticking out in the rear will not only look stupid on a nice car like a Vette, you will be pounding the paint on those rear quarters with EVERYTHING you drive over plus I think it's not DOT compliant.

You can flare or tub (check the backspacing). Tubbing is a PITA and flares are pricey after install/paint.

In my opinion, unless you need the extra tire width, it's not cost effective to get the wheel design using C6Z take offs. AND, if you need the size, get your own custom off-set wheels to match flares or a tub if that's what you want without needing spacers.

No flare or tub with C6 take offs using 32mm spacer rear and 10mm spacer front (295/255):

L5 flares with 19x13 rear and 18x10.5 front (345/265):
