Correct, look at the forward top panel, coupe is different

Also, the top screws under a FRC/Z06 will stay 'as is', you slide the panel in/out with the screws in place

Figure an hour for the swap; remove outer taillights to remove the 6 bolts retaining aft panel.

A FRC can be a Zo6, but a Zo6 must be a FRC. Some people call the FRC a coupe though, as well as a hardtop. I'm fairly certain that the FRC and vert rear fenders (quarter panels?) are the same, as well as the trunk lids.

actually, i'm getting a little red flag about this. i remember talking to a friend with a convertible who was looking at some rear flare panels, and i think i remember him showing me some slight (almost miniscule) difference between the hardtop & vert panels that the manufacturer told him about. it was something to do with how far into the body this little piece by the doors extends. i can't remember which one was longer, but they are slightly different.

The GM parts manual speaks differently

The vert and the Z06/FRC quarter panels are different. There is a thread from QuikZ06 in the General section regarding his manufacture of flared quarter panels for the vert and FRC/Z06, and he has photos of the difference. As was stated above, the piece that extends behind the door is longer on the vert than on the FRC/Z06 panel. You can use a vert quarter panel on a FRC/Z06 by trimming this extra material off, but you cannot use a FRC/Z06 quarter on a vert, as it will be missing the extra material behind the door and there will be a gap.
