Default Is this right??

Had my c5 coupe weighed, with me in the car, a tad over a qtr tank, and a few pieces of gear ...3360lbs? So if you subtract the 162 lbs for my body weight and 15lbs in gear this would put my vehicles wt around 3180. Even less with about an 1/8th tank of gas. I thought those were c5z specs.

3180 lbs seems low, depending on what model and options you have. I have a low content 99 FRC with fog lights, BSM and active handling for options - NOTHING else and my build sheet says 3115 lbs. Which model do you have? Things like convertible tops, dual power seats, automatic climate control, telescoping steering wheels, etc can pig a car out quickly.

Default Weight

Thats what I was thinking. The car is pretty much fully loaded with hud, climate control, dual pwr seats, telescoping steering wheel...every option that was availble for that year. the only thing I can think that may have cut weight was the axle back bullet exhaust, aluminum thin spokes (came on the car) and the tires i replaced.

The 2003 Road and Track test had a Curb Weight of 3230 and a Test Weight of 3370.

I'm hoping sometime in July I can corner weigh my car and get a better idea of what it weighs.

02 coupe 6 speed with LG headers and borla exhaust (exhaust should be the only thing to drop the weight on mine)

my '00 coupe with clear top, dual power seats, XSPower LTs and XSPower exhaust weighed ~3045lbs at the US131 motorsports park scale. This was with NOTHING in the car (no floor mats, nothing in the console/glovebox, no covers on the storage compartments) and very little fuel. They calibrate it fairly often so I would tend to believe its numbers.
