Thanks for the tip...I called and bought it. I hope it is a good one. He gave me a 30 day warranty on it so I will install it and hope for the best...I found an M code for your car on e bay off a 2000 with 23k miles. I bough the steering position sensor off of the car. There are a few M codes on ebay just go to ebay and type in C5 corvette EBCM or ABS...Thanks so much for the tip I have been looking for one for over a year

Do the M units work on all 97s and 98s?, or just the 97s....the number on my 97 is #16263329...and it is a way early C5 (first day)

Not sure but if you message them they can give you the part number off of the unit.If the part number is the same it should work. I think it is the same but I am not sure. There are a few on ebay. If you send them a message they are usually good about getting back to you. the one of the 23k car looks like brand new.

Yours has been dead for over a year? That is a lot of button pushing!

I don't drive the car very much it's kinda like our get away car. I probably put about 2k miles a year on it due to my work schedule and how much it ticks me off!!! But if this works I'm gonna drive it a lot more! I just hope the replacement is good came off of a interior burn car no engine compartment damage. They have no idea how many miles the car had or if ABS light was on. I am almost afraid to be exited because you never know a lot of people are like me and have to drive them with the ABS light on,but at least I have a 30 day warranty.

My 2000 has JL4 as well. If it fails, I will try to figure out how to have the ABS module tell the PCM is isn't dead.
I will have a dead JL4 unit to play with today. I hope to be able to un-pot it and see what is going on.

I wish you luck with your purchase!
