Default 224/230 .581 .588 please last recommendation

hello vetters..
My vette 99 A4 is going to do some GP or GT race twice a month and it is for daily drive
I decided on this cam

Comp cam XER273HR part number 54-444-11
224/230 .581/588 lsa 114
operating RPM range 2000-7000 according to SummitRacing

my mods are
Halltech air filter
MTI 243 heads
Fast 92 intake and TB 90
Kooks long tube 1-3/4, Corsa extream with X pipe
rear gear ratio 2.7
my rear wheel 19"

My goal is to hit 440 rwhp and 410-420 torque for daily drive and some street race and mainly GT race..
Do you recommend this cam?
how about the torque converter? do I need to upgrade it?
till the near futur there is no plan to upgrade the rear gear ratio to 3.4
please any help.. so appreciated

That is the exact same size Comp cam I have. I used new stock GM 243 heads, AR headers, Corsa exhaust.

Mine made 420 rwhp and 392 rwtq. I am running a Yank 2800 stall. My tuner has gotten the Park idle to 800 In Gear idle 650. With a nasty lope.

I think to get to your goal you might want to go up on the cam a little. I run a comp 228/232 and the extra HP it produces would get you close to 440RWHP. Cam has a nice lope and is docile enough for easy street driving.

EPS 226/230 LSA 113 + 3
Not sure of lift

Im going with this and I bet Ill atleast see 440rwhp. We almost have the same mods except for I have PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads. Running about 11:1 compression
Still on stock cam at the moment I put down 393/389
This is with the lift of the stock cam at only like .510, once the high lift cam goes in and lets my Fast 90 really shine, thats where Ill see huge gains

232/234 112lsa. 431/395 3200 stall 2.5 prc heads. yes upgrade the convertor. huge difference. you will need to go bigger to get 440.

You'll get that with the FAST on there. Are the 243's ported at all? If so, I venture to say 450 with ported 243's and a FAST.

You can run a larger duration on the intake side of your cam, you'll be breathing in pretty good. I say maybe 228/234 will help more...

that set up sounds pretty stout to me. id say 440 is on the generous side. BUT it is definitely possible.
