But it WILL matter to a Z06. The car is partially the higher performing engine. Allot of ppl wont even buy an 01 Z06 due to the motor. Put an LS1 in it and not no, but HELL NO I wouldnt buy it.

so how did op find out engine is ls1? as far as different parts pistons,cam, heads and other parts not to mention 55HORSEPOWER. something smells fishy!

Heck OEM matching numbers are replaced with ( aftermarket )matching numbers all the time now. Same as OEM matching numbers.

Restoration guys check those numbers and how they were put on these days.
