Default Header Install

Just want to ask if it's common to smell the exhaust fumes being strong and rich until you have the car tuned after install?
Installed and have less than 200 miles on the install.

Thanks
Robert

Did you remove the cats? If so it will always smell.

I have the same exhaust that you do and yes it does smell different than stock. I look at it as it is just part of going to a high flow exhaust. Even with a tune and several thousand miles it has not changed. Not a deal breaker in my book.

If you alter the cats there will be a smell until you get it tuned. Once you get tuned the smell will go away if the tune is right. I put on TSP catless headers and it stunk bad at first but them a simple mail order tune from ECS made a huge difference. Before the garage smelled like fuel if the car was idling in the garage now there is no odor at all.
