Default Help me Code P0410

I did the clean for those valves and those codes went away.

Took it in for inspection passed, then driving home this code P0410 came up, NOTHING ELSE.

I understand there is a relay for the air pump.

Where is it, could that be the problem ?

Thanks for the help.

In my experience with the same issue, I replaced the blower/fan unit and both valves. Still got the code and then after reading on this forum that the AIR system does virtually NOTHING I took the advice of one member and had a local tuner change the parameters of the system on his laptop. The CEL has not reappeared and the engine runs fine, passes inspection, and life is good. It cost me about $600 in parts and labor for the first round of "fixes" and $100 to do the tuner fix. I wish someone had told me about this sooner as it would have been a bunch cheaper! Good Luck.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the reply and advice.

I also believe this to be true that there is no real benefit to the air pump.

However I don't have anyone in Brenham TX that can tune a car.

Maybe Bryan / College Station Texas.

I did clear the code and drove to a Car show this weekend.

20 miles there no code 20.9 miles back the code came back the last mile.

So 40 miles before the P0410 came back.

Keep going back to the relay, but not sure the one to replace.

Would like to try that if someone can tell me the one to replace.

Thanks again

Dadeo, I understand what you are going through. It is maddening for sure but I really think it is a mistake to keep throwing parts at something without really knowing what is wrong. I do not have a schematic for that circuit but many members here are real tech gurus on electrical and one of them is bound to chime in. I don't remember a relay and believe that the BCM sends a ground signal to the blower to make it come on. The BCM logic makes comparisons between expected values and current values through the O2 sensors and when they do not match after several ( I think 3) times, it sends the CEL. I would get the CEL at random times after clearing the code. I thought it was temperature related, fuel, and all sorts of things. You might try the regional forum and ask who a local tuner might be in your area. It takes about 10 minutes and your problem is G O N E !!!!! Good Luck.
