Part number & compatibility for 1999 EBCM with active handling?
A lot of info I can find on C5 EBCM's only pertain to 2001-2004 models. I can't find anyone who can repair a pre 2001 EBCM either. Are EBCM's from later years compatible with earlier years, 1999 specifically? Does anyone know the part number for a 1999 Corvette EBCM with active handling?
Thanks!
Thanks!

So if I'm reading that correctly I would need #9376711 since I have active handling? On a GM parts website it says 9376711 has been superseded by 19244084...
If someone could use my VIN to send me a list of options my Vette has that would be great. My glove box sticker is unreadable.
Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you.......... so far after checking a number of sources the part is no longer made. Rebuild or junk yard are the only options I see but I am still looking.

Sign me up for the search. I am totally confused. (haven't called yet but from forum this part is not available anymore from GM and noone repairs it)
My 99 C5 88,000 miles bought new has code 1255 for EBTCM internal failure (part #? 9376711). I have been checking GM parts and I come up with prices from $250 to $750. so there is a part problem here and none show pics to compare. I have inquired as to having the EBTCM repaired. My car is the fully loaded active hand ride control with all options.
My fear is that the 2001 part is overlapping the 1999 and incorrect.
Can anyone help here? I am ok buying a new part if I am sure it is the right part.
The codes I pulled are 1255, 1282,1284. I had no issue until I changed my battery. (optima) out. I have cleared codes and they reappear.
I have also searched and continuously get back to the 2001-later part.
Thank you in advance.

It has been widely reported here that the 1999 units are NLA and for the most part not servicable. However, I found them listed on an online dealership website. I didn't call to see if they were actually available since so far I don't need it. I would say the only way to be certain is to call a dealer with your VIN# and request the part.
I will say that there are a couple vendors here that frequently offer new parts when something comes up in a post. The fact that niether have offered the fabled early EBCM tells me they are most likey not available from GM. But it doesn't cost anything to ask.
BTW, if the dealer sells you one and it is wrong, just take it back. I for one would be interested in your outcome.

I bought this car new and it has been great, considering a GS but economy has beat up my accounts I have to wait.

Jim I have the same problem with my 2000. I'd be careful that you don't have another probem and only think it the ECBM....like maybe a ground issue. I'll be watching to see if you can find the part. My son in laws family owns a parts wholesale business and he has been unable to find a new part anywhere.

My problem started when I changed the battery to a new optima.
After start up I got the service soon for suspension.
The codes included the module.
I cleared all the codes and drove another 70 miles with clear memory.
Immediately after I started driving I got 1282 and 1286 which is the yaw rate sensor. I never got the module again and it is still clear hopefully not the problem. The manual states after 50 start cycles it will clear if there is no problem. Hopefully the power surge on connecting the new battery just threw something out of calibration. My plans are now to do nothing but drive and put up with the nusance alarm for at least 50 cycles to see if it clears. More to come...

Update from GM online vendor I use. Part is definitely not available. Dah. Fortunately I reset all the codes and the internal failure is not showing. The only current code I have is the yaw damper.
