Can anyone suggest a source for the SCAGS eliminator? Does one of the vendors carry these?

All vendors carry these. If you get a perf tune they will program it out as part of the service. I have one I no longer use because of programming. If you were in SoCal I'd take care of it for you for free (I have HP Tuners 2000 year model unlimited license).
