Default What is the NGK TR55 P/N for Advance Auto Parts?

I performed a search which said 3951, however Advance Auto's website says 3951 does not fit a 99 Corvette. There are 35 choices for NGK spark plugs for a 99 Corvette. Which one do I want?

You touch on a very good point as far as "fit" vs "application listing". "Fit" refers to the physical characteristics (size, etc) not necessarily what's always listed by a manufacturer or vehicle owner's manual for a given application. There are several plugs that will "fit", but only one two that would be best for a given application.

The listing is for TR5 NGK's....BUT TR5 is only a 39 thous gap....and TR55 is pre-gapped at 59 thous.

I would use the TR5 for applications requiring a smaller gap, like boost or nitrous.

It is not recommended that you touch the gap on these plugs, as you may damage the fine materials.

Funny cause I bought mine from Advance and they sold me 3951's. Just looked at the box. Been in the car over a year with no problems. Buy some wires and never seize before you tackle the job. Maybe some gloves if you value your knuckles cause it's a blood shedder job.
