Bill Is there a write up in what I should be checking and what the correct voltages are?

Here's the bad news. A C1254 will cause what you are seeing, as when it sets, the EBCM will not communicate on the class 2 serial buss. In conjunction with the C1254, a C1248 will set also. Like Bill said, time to get out the meter, and go through the 12 volt and ground checks, at the connector. Kinda looks like you have a bad harness/plug....maybe.

Where is the old one at?

Can you swap it back in and see if it gives you "NO COMM" for the old one as well?

That would also help as a test! But like Bill said you now need to check the actual power supply wires to see if you have "ACTUAL" voltage!

Thanks,Matt

I think it is because I had my wisdom teeth pulled saturday and I still on meds - other than that we'd have him pull the motor and send it to us

Thanks,Matt

Do I have to reinstall the old one to test it or just plug it in?

What is the outcome of the 12volt/ground checks?

It is best to install it like you would if it is new and you are ready to drive - one ground source comes from the ABS unit itself!

Thanks,Matt

Just unplug the harness, the car can run without the EBCM, at least you'll know the car starts again then you can try troubleshooting.

I am headed off to Hawaii for 2 weeks, then I will have to dive back into this issue. I have not had time to do the voltage checks with all the last minute stuff for the trip
Thanks for the help, I will revive this when I return

I was checking a similar problem for a guy in England. What was the outcome? Did you find a connector problem?
