Default EBCM interchange question

I have a 2002 Z06 that needs a new EBCM. I was told that the PN is 12216561 which repaced pn 10315150.
I have seen a few 2003-2004 ebcm's avail with PN 10343433
will those work on a 2002 z06 correctly ?

you can't use the '03 -'04 EBCM on a 2002

New EBCM’s … below is the part #s. Check with
Gene Culley for actual price & availability ($650 approx)
Part Number: 10343433 All 2003-2004
Part Number: 12216561 All 2001-2002

any possibility the existing one can be 'rebuilt'?

I read in the for sale thread that it was a $150 job.

$650+ for a new one seems kind of crappy to have to spend on a car you just got Hope you can get it figured out
