Just curious... what does GM include?

I would assume everything up to the heads..without heads of course.

block, crank, rods, main caps, rings, bearings, balancer, flexplate, pistons, oil pump and pickup, timing cover and seal, freeze plugs(oil pan maybe)...assembled. a cam is probably a few hundred extra

gm long block is usually a crate style engine and will have everything
"long blocks" as opposed to shortblocks are usually the shortblock plus the heads and valvetrain

yes a cam, timing set up, engine covers, the whole nie yards if it was a gm crate engine

Minus all the sensors, intake manifold, throttle body, etc.

I just bought an LS6 long block from gm.

A short block doesnt include heads,a long block does.Mostly a long block requires intake and exhaust manifolds and accessories to be swapped on,electronics, fuel rail etc.
