Default Moving MAF near throttle body

What are your thoughts on this?
I added a BBK 80mm TB and i'm looking to replace the accordian connecting the TB to the air bridge.

Corvette C5 VR Power Duct offers a nice setup where they suggest moving it up front.

What to do?!?!?!

There was no noticeable performance gain, but my idle smoothed out, so that made me happy about spending the money.

Moving the MAF for a Venom mod was a peace of cake. Venom added that beehive metal mesh thingee (forgot name) that fit in the MAF. No codes thrown, idles a tad better, no big deal.

i have the vr power duct, and im still running the maf in the stock location. i seriously doubt there is any performance gain to moving it closer to the tb. if changing the location of it helped smooth out idle, it probably just needs to be cleaned.

I have a Vararam power duct also and relocated the maf(which I clean regularly) and also noticed a smoother idle and sharper off idle throttle response.
