Default Headlight Doors

I replaced both gears a year ago. They work fine. Passenger headlight is on but door does not raise. Driver's headlight works but when turned off closes and opens about 5 times. I replaced the Headlight Control Module and it fixed both headlight door problems for about 6 weeks. Same problems again so I exchanged module at Chevy under warranty for a new module. Solved problem for about 6 tries turning lights on and off then both problems reappeared. Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Headlamp/Multifunction switch is usually the problem here. You can disassemble it and clean the contacts.

Do the screws turn or does the motor not turn at all?

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I didn't know you could buy just the gear. My ps nylon gear has a few teeth broken off in my 99. I looked for the gears before and couldn't find them.

The motor turns. I can open and close manually. You can purchase the gears. I got mine from branker@tampabay.rr.com in 2009.
