Default Heads up Display

Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with my HUD that I think will require pulling the dash pad off to correct but I'd appreciate any advice before I go through that. My 2002 Vette sat most of the summer in the hot Florida sun this year with only occassional use. Now the heads up display is very low on the windshield. I have tried cycling the height adjustment several times but it won't go high enough to read when I'm sitting in my normal seat position although it does move up and down. It appears looking through the windshield that the reflector lense is warped. Is that possible? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

It happened to me. Had to remove the dash and HUD assembly. Opened the HUD and realized that one pin on the reflector has fallen off from its socket. I just replaced it and now it works like a brand new!
